HOW TO VOLUNTEER

VOLUNTEER IDEAS

Boy scouts

Our neighborhood has often had Boy scouts and Cub scouts assist with trash pickup and other projects.

Cub Pack 656 (Meet at Redland Oaks Elementary)

Troop 145 (Meet at Northern Hill United Methodist Church & http://www.troop145.com/)

Neighborhood Night out:  This annual event is designed to strengthen our neighborhoods through police-community partnerships.  The goal is to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs and, most importantly, send a message to criminals that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. The time to start planning is now.  Contact HOA board if  you interested in helping.

Sprinkler System: Redland Springs is in need of a volunteer who is willing to help out with the management of the water systems along Redland Road.   It is really easy to learn how to do it.

Neighborhood Clean Up Day Two neighborhood clean up days are scheduled per year.  We encourage all residents to come out.  Children are welcome too!  We usually pick up trash/litter along Redland Road and the drainage ditches.  We will also plant some more native plants in the median as well as do some general trimming of existing bushes. Watch newsletter or news webpage for upcoming details!

Cellular on Patrol: The C.O.P. training class now only requires a 4 hour one time session with an optional police ride along.  For questions or for more information click here.

Christmas Judges:  Two neighbors interested in volunteering for the annual Christmas lights decoration contest please email HOA board

Welcome committee: prepare basket with information to welcome new homeowners

Architectural Control Committee (ACC): This committee approves neighbors home improvements.  Plans are prepared by the homeowners including an Improvement Form.  The committee will review the plans and a majority vote determines if plan is approved.  This committee may receive 2 requests a year.  Three members are required.  For more information email acc@redlandsprings.org.

Landscaping:  Redland Springs HOA considers projects all the time for the median along Redland Road and the two new properties at Bulverde Road and Redland Road.
